Good days, three to seven days early

Know the good days ahead, and who to spend them with.

Days Like These watches the forecast for the things you love doing outside, then gives you three to seven days’ notice when a good one is coming. Time to take the day — and time to get your people in.

An example week. Three good days coming.

How it works

From “we should do that sometime” to an actual plan.

Two minutes of setup, then it does the remembering for you.

  1. Tell it what you love

Pick two or three things that make a good day for you — a surf, a bush walk, a beach day with the kids, an afternoon in the garden. Or name your own.

  2. It watches the days ahead

We keep an eye on the next week at your spots and check it against what you actually care about. Waves, wind, sun, rain, temperature, cloud — in the words you’d use yourself.

  3. You get a heads-up in time to plan

Three to seven days out, you hear that a good one is lining up. Early enough to ask for the day, block it out and sort the rest — not a forecast for right now, but a decision you can actually make.

  4. Bring your crew

Share the day with the people you’d want there. They don’t need the app to say “I’m in” — the invite opens in a browser.

The heads-up

It looks like this.

A plain call, days early, with the people part already in it. No charts to read, no units to convert, no guesswork about how much to trust it.

Saturday · 4 days out

looks like a beach day

Looking likely 82%

24°C, dry all day and a light breeze. Sun from mid-morning, so worth taking the shade tent.

Aroha and Sam are free.

Four examples. Your days, your spots, your crew — and only ever the days we genuinely think will happen.

Your kind of day

Not just the sports.

The best day of your week might be a picnic, an afternoon in the garden, or a clear night with the telescope out. Adventurous or completely ordinary — it all counts, and you can name your own.

  • 🏖️ Beach day
  • 🥾 Bush walk
  • 🏄 Surf
  • 🚵 MTB
  • 🥢 Picnic
  • ⛺️ Camping
  • 🌱 Gardening
  • 🔭 Stargazing
  • 🏃 Run
  • 🛶 Paddle
  • + whatever you call it

For the ones with jobs

The whole point is the notice. A good day you find out about on the day is a good day you’ve already spent at work.

For the ones who organise everyone else

You don’t need to be across the forecast, or the swell height, or the wind direction. You just need to know it’s on — and who to ask.

For every kind of day out

A summit and a vege patch both count. We won’t nudge you about the days that don’t happen, and we won’t oversell the weather.

Honest confidence

We tell you how sure we are.

A forecast days out is a bet, and we’d rather show you the odds than pretend there aren’t any. Every call comes with the same three words, in the same order, every time.

Worth watching

Something’s in the mix. Too far out to plan your week around, but we’ll keep an eye on it and tell you if it firms up.

Looking likely

Good enough that it’s worth protecting the time. We’d start mentioning it to people.

Lock it in

As sure as we get, days ahead. Take the leave, book the ferry, tell the crew it’s happening.

And when we get it wrong

We called Saturday wrong — the wind came up by ten. We’d rather say that plainly than explain it away, and the miss is what our next call learns from. Next good window looks like Tuesday.

What we’re about

Four things we keep coming back to.

They show up in the copy, the colour and the way the thing behaves.

Playfulness

Going outside is play, not performance. Warm words, bright colour, no leaderboards and nothing to prove.

Connectedness

The plan is shared, never the secret spot. Most good days are better with someone else in them.

Living fully

Show the moment, not the gear. Good days come in every size, from a summit to a garden bed.

Sustainability

Local places, honest claims, light-touch design. The goal is less time on your phone, not more.
